I paint a different version of reality. I celebrate color and light in concert with nature while creating a seperate world of beauty and awe. I don't strive for realism, but rather a mix of what I see, what I hear, and what I feel. Not like a photo but more like an impression, a glance at joy, a different vision ... a painting. I paint plein air and in the studio. Nature is my inspiration and trying to capture it in a painting is elusive and challenging. My journey as a painter continues , the quest for artistic expression has become my refuge.
